Microsoft VirtualEarth Hybrid Downloader is a program that will grab pictures from Virtual Earth. Microsoft VirtualEarth is an online service that offers satellite images of the Earth, similar to Google Earth. The Hybrid Downloader allows you to specify a given latitude and longitude range, the zoom level and the threads count, to grab the satellite images of the specified area that are stored on Microsoft Visual Earth website.
The program will then download several tiles with images of portions of the desired area. Each tile will be saved on your hard disk as a file named after the latitude and longitude belonging to the image it holds, in the .JPG format. The Satellite Images Viewer will show you all the tiles merged in just one image that will display the whole area you have specified. Microsoft VirtualEarth Hybrid Downloader does not need any other program installed on your computer to obtain the images, and it will store each project with the name you choose, and the belonging images into a separate folder.
